When global innovation meets Mediterranean creativity, that’s where the story of The AI Collective Costa del Sol begins.
As part of the world’s largest AI network, The AI Collective brings together over 100,000 pioneers – founders, researchers, developers, and investors, who believe that AI is as much about people as it is about technology. Across dozens of local chapters, the community hosts meetups, workshops, panels, and demo nights, fostering cross-industry dialogue and collaboration.
And now, this movement has found its home on the sunny shores of Spain’s Costa del Sol.
A new AI Hub in southern Spain
In July 2025, the global community officially launched its Costa del Sol chapter in Marbella, creating a new regional hub for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation.
The chapter focuses on the intersection of AI and iGaming, two sectors that are increasingly intertwined through automation, analytics, and user experience design.
The inaugural meetup, held on July 29th, 2025, brought together professionals from technology, gaming, marketing, and data science. Conversations centered around how AI can enhance entertainment, streamline operations, and create new business models for the iGaming sector.
At its core, the chapter aims to build a connected, AI-driven iGaming community guided by the same principles that define The AI Collective worldwide: transparency, openness, and collaboration.
Meet the founders and leaders
Behind the Costa del Sol chapter is a team of passionate community builders and innovators:
- Julia Brzezińska – Chapter Lead, event strategist and business development expert known for creating engaging, international communities.
- Bartek Borkowski and Łukasz Wala from createIT – a tech duo bringing software expertise and creative energy to every event.
Together, they’re designing workshops, networking sessions, and discussions tailored to the region’s unique mix of local talent and global ambition.
The kickoff in Marbella
The first gathering in Marbella set the tone for what this chapter is all about: collaboration, curiosity, and connection.
The event combined networking, brainstorming, and community building in a relaxed, coastal setting. Attendees exchanged ideas about AI’s impact on daily life, explored opportunities in digital entertainment and marketing, and mapped out future collaboration topics. Early feedback was enthusiastic, participants praised the event’s inclusivity, open dialogue, and genuine energy.
AI in iGaming 2026 – What the industry really needs
Following its successful debut, The AI Collective Costa del Sol returned in September 2025 with a second edition focused on the future of AI in iGaming.
Titled “AI in iGaming 2026: What the Industry Really Needs,” the event explored automation, content personalization, behavior analytics, and the ethical challenges ahead.
Panelists included Jones (Rise & Hustle), Catie Di Stefano (Vegas Kings), Bartek Borkowski (createIT), and Roger Redfearn-Tyrzyk (Shufti), each bringing their own perspective on innovation and implementation.
A Speed Networking Session encouraged fast-paced, meaningful connections, followed by a surprise evening experience hosted with Norma Franck Real Estate & Relocation, and later, an informal dinner party where the discussions flowed as freely as the wine.

Coming next – AI case studies in iGaming
The next event is set for October 30th, 2025, in Marbella — this time diving into real-world AI case studies in iGaming.
The evening will include:

- Open discussions about challenges and lessons learned,

The event is free to attend, but registration and approval are required.
